The new school year began again in July and KLUB KOKOS continued to organise sponsorship for 55 of the local children. This includes full financial support for our first ever post-secondary student. Thanks to the continued support of many of our guests, friends and family, we hope that our contribution to the improvement of educational standards in this area will gradually see a strengthening of the standard of living in general.

Three of the new trainees that we have accepted for three months of work experience at KLUB KOKOS are students that we are assisting with financial support throughout their secondary schooling. We hope that through this we are able to give these students a more rounded experience that will assist them in later years once they seek employment in the work force.

Now that the school library has been completed, Cathy will be taking English classes at the Sebali Primary School as an extra-curricula activity in the afternoons. We hope that the school will be used more frequently as a centre for other community activities as well, including dance and music lessons for students after school hours.

The Sebali Primary School has recently been appointed a new Principal to coordinate school activities. We wish him well in his endeavour to strengthen the educational standards of the school and encourage more of an interaction between the school and community.
