Unlike their Islamic neighbours in Java, the Balinese’s favourite meat dish is pork. Of course the most famous of pork dishes in Bali is the ‘Babi Guling’ – a suckling pig roasted slowly on a spit. However, most of us would not want to have to deal with a whole pig all at once, and in fact this dish takes a lot of developed skill to cook. However, another very popular dish for the Balinese is that of ‘Babi Kecap’, which is also much easier to prepare. Try this out in your own kitchen, then compare the taste with that prepared in our kitchen here at KLUB KOKOS the next time you are here to visit us. |
