Bali Eco & Educational Cycling Tour

A relatively new group that has started up in the Ubud area, Bali Budaya Tours, offers visitors a cycling tour in a more relaxed fashion than some of the bigger tour companies, making it suitable for young and old. After a number of our guests at KLUB KOKOS have enjoyed going on this tour, I have now included it on our web site as something that you might want to do while staying with us.

Bali Budaya Tours will arrange for you to be picked up at about 8.00a.m. From KLUB KOKOS you will head north east by car to Penelokan (Kintamani) where you will enjoy breakfast on the rim of the crater overlooking the active volcano, Mount Batur and its crater lake, enjoying some of the most stunning views in Bali.

Then it's off on your mountain bikes through the heartland of Bali, cycling down hill all the way on secret back roads and minor village roads with little traffic, enjoying the beautiful Balinese landscape to Ubud.

Bali Budaya Tours promise to show you a Bali other visitors never see, and their experienced guides will explain its amazing culture. You will visit a Balinese home, a Balinese plantation, a large temple, go for a short walk in the rice paddies and see traditional craftsmen at work on route before sitting down to a traditional Balinese feast, including betutu (smoked duck/chicken), a specialty dish in Bali, in a restaurant overlooking the rice paddies (they also cater for vegetarians).

After lunch you will visit the famous Ubud Monkey Forest before returning to KLUB KOKOS.

This is a full-day tour: 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

• pick up and return to KLUB KOKOS by air-conditioned car
• mountain bike and safety helmet use
• full breakfast and lunch (Balinese feast)
• water and fruit on tour
• entrance fees
• wet weather gear when necessary
• all the beautiful scenery you may not have normally seen, with an in depth explanation of the culture

The price of this tour is Rp.360,000,- per person (Rp.280,000,- for children), which is very good value for what they offer.
